Its a parabolic microphone
Great product but lacks the ability to pin pint a particuar conversation, but shows the growing range of products just from the iPhone It wouldn surprise me to see a "parabolic mic kit" which would have the nessacary

Rip off. Dont wate your money with upgrade. Its worthless
This app stinks. You get ripped off thinking that voice filter actually improves it. Worst upgrade i have ever paid for. Apple should pull this off of app store. Dont waste your money.
